THEME

"SPECTRUM" is the theme for the festival this time.In the recent two years, we are feeling that many Japan communities/people are;More divided by COVID-19 situation. Difficult to feel connected with neighboring Asian countries. We would like to hold the festival where people feels that;"We all are different each other but still in the same spectrum and connected weak-tied wherever whoever."

Uriwari Sekitei Park, the venue of the event, is Land surrounded by huge rock walls in Takahata-cho, Yamagata, Japan.

This place was a "quarry" in 1920s where stonemasons quarried rocks.Since the work was done by hand, the pickaxe was swung down 4,000 times to make just one 2-meter rectangular stone per person a day.

Today, only the towering rock wall remains.
